Flown Apollo 12 Flag
This 4x6 nylon flag was flown to the moon aboard Apollo 12, vacuum packed in Alan Bean's Pilot Preference Kit (PPK). Flown Apollo artifacts are very rare, and are usually limited to snips of parachute lines, hatch plugs, heat shield fragments, etc. Flags and patches are hard to come by. The flag is mounted (sewn) onto white suede, and surrounded by blue suede. It includes an Apollo 12 patch (not flown) with the three autographs of the Apollo 12 crew beneath. The flag was inscribed by Bean shortly after their return, "Flown to the moon, Apollo 12, Nov. 69, Alan Bean."
