SPACE ART GICLEE EDITIONS

Afternoon at Azurite Falls Giclee

by Kim Poor

Glacial meltwater, waterfalls, Iceland, Kim Poor, basalts, Devil

This large canvas giclee is a composite of several waterfalls in Iceland, where there was an International Space Art Workshop in 1988. Glacial meltwater in the short summer forms runoff and waterfalls everywhere. Basalts form in hexagonal columns (like Devil's Tower, WY) from rapidly cooling volcanic eruptions. The original painting was 6 x 3 feet. This is a hypothetical icy moon experiencing a periodic summer melt. Framed in copper aluminum.
