The Galileo probe arrived at Jupiter in December 1995. The probe dropped into the Jovian clouds at local sunrise, and radioed its findings to the Galileo orbiter above for nearly an hour. Though the probe carried no imaging camera, Alan imagines the scene it likely saw. Also see the Miniature of this image. |
