Pluto Fast Flyby

This painting was commissioned by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to illustrate the concept for a "fast" flyby mission to Pluto. The program has morphed into the New Horizons mission to Pluto and the Kuiper Belt to be launched in 2004 or 2006 for arrival at Pluto about 2015.

This illustration was widely used worldwide in journals, proposals and popular media.

Sold framed in a black suede outer mat, with gold and blue fillets, all acid-free. Frame is antique gold anodized aluminum. Non Glare UV plexiglass.
