Amor Asteroid

This is a view of one of many of the Amor family of asteroids, passing over a polar region of Mars.

The Amor family regularly crosses into the inner solar system.

Mars' two moons, Phobos and Deimos, are thought to be captured asteroids, possibly Amor asteroids.
