General Robert Cardenas'talk is entitled "Back to the Present." He explains his involement as an Air Force test pilot in two of the major programs of post-WWII aviation--the development ofsupersonic flight, beginning with Colonel Stapp's wild rocket sled ride to Yeager's breaking the sound barrier. Then to the development of a heavy-lift long range bomber, which became the Y-49 flying wing and later the B-2.
