Rick Searfoss graduated first in his class from the Air Force Academy in 1978. He was selected as a NASA astronaut in 1991. Prior to becoming an astronaut he attended the Naval Test Pilot School at Patuxent River, MD, and the USAF Fighter and Weapons School (Top Gun), and was a distinguished graduate of both. He was a flight instructor in the UK for the F-111 Aardvark, and at Edwards AFB in the USA. He has piloted two shuttle missions and commanded a third.

Today Rick is the Chief test pilot for XCOR, whose entry into the space tourist arena is the LYNX, LYNX will carry only one passenger into space at a time--sitting in the cockpit next to the pilot--for an experience and view like no other. He is also in great demand as a corporate motivational speaker.

His talk will focus on the current progress on the LYNX.
