Pegasus Nebula

Pegasus Nebula

by Joe Tucciarone

New Moon

New Moon

by Joe Tucciarone
20 in. W x 16 in. H (framed)
17 in. W x 13 in. H (print only)

A young ringed planet and star are shown in this view. Planetary ring systems are now thought to be fairly commonplace, perhaps even an evolutionary step in planetary development. Gaps in the ring can be caused by resonance waves from outer moons or even carved out by small moons themselves.

Signed and numbered limited edition.

Starclouds

Starclouds

by Joe Tucciarone
25 in. W x 20 in. H (framed)
22 in. W x 17 in. H (print only)

This beautiful print takes us deep inside a nebula, where a young protostar has just ignited. The pressure from this energetic star sends out spherical shock waves, which will collapse areas of the starcloud into newer protostars. The process will eventually disperse the nebula, leaving behind a bright cluster of new stars.

Signed and numbered limited edition.

The Cliffs of Dione

The Cliffs of Dione

by Joe Tucciarone
28 in. W x 23 in. H (framed)
22 in. W x 17 in. H (print only)

This is a remarkably detailed view of the north polar region on Saturn's moon Dione. Eight of Saturn's moons are visible along the plane of the rings.

Signed and numbered limited edition.

Chiron

Chiron's Passage

by Joe Tucciarone
29 in. W x 24 in. H (framed)
25 in. W x 20 in. H (print only)

Between the orbits of Saturn and Uranus wanders a dark object known as Chiron. It is thought to be an unusually large comet from the outer solar system which wandered too close to a major planet (perhaps Saturn, as seen here), and become trapped in its present orbit.

Signed and numbered limited edition.

Joseph Michael Tucciarone was born in Youngstown, Ohio. His parents encouraged his early fascination with dinosaurs and his interest in art. Like many other children growing up in the early sixties, he was also captivated by rockets and outer space. At the age of eight he was enrolled in Saturday art classes at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, where he promptly created his first space and dinosaur paintings.

Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's degree in physics and later he received his Master's degree from the University of Toledo. Despite earning advanced degrees in science, Joe always wanted to be an artist.

In 1978 he began a professional career as a space artist at the Memphis Museum planetarium. Although he had produced a steady stream of astronomical art throughout his life, Joe hadn't created a dinosaur painting since his childhood. That changed in 1995 when he wrote, produced and illustrated a planetarium show about dinosaurs. After a lapse of more than thirty years he was once again illustrating the prehistoric creatures that were his first and favorite subjects.

In March 2000, the Board of Trustees at Youngstown State University bestowed an honorary Doctor of Science Degree upon Joe in recognition of his lifetime achievements in the field of science illustration.

JOE TUCCIARONE ORIGINALS!

MUST CALL 1-800-727-NOVA TO ORDER!

Do you have a galactic spirit animal? Giant, gorgeous, and framed as is.

Spirit of the Eagle

Spirit of the Eagle

by Joe Tucciarone
40 in. W x 30 in. H

You can almost hear its scream, as an imaginary eagle takes flight against an equally imaginary starfield. Not to be confused with the actual constellation Aquila, this is still a very impressive image.

Masters of the Earth

Masters of the Earth

by Joe Tucciarone
30 in. W x 24 in. H

The ghostly image of a Tyrannosaurus rex looms over our home planet in this allegorical painting.

Sixty-five million years ago, our earth and its moon looked much the same as they do at present.

Yet at that time, life on land was very different from what it is now, for the Age of Reptiles prevailed and dinosaurs ruled the earth.

King of the North

King of the North

by Joe Tucciarone
40 in. W x 30 in. H

Ironically enough, this King of the North doesn't hail from Winterfell in the 7 Kingdoms of Westeros.

Crowned by fire in a land of ice, THIS imperial king of the north stands sentinel amidst his frozen domain. Although the land is locked in a great Ice Age, the Pleistocene sun drives an auroral firestorm through the northern skies, casting an eerie glow on this giant mammal.

Conrad, Gordon, Bean: The Fantasy

by Alan Bean
30 in. W x 28 in. H (framed)
28 in. W x 25 in. H (print only)

This 1993 print expressed Bean's longtime desire for command module pilot Dick Gordon to somehow enjoy the fun on the Moon with himself and Pete Conrad. Here Bean playfully adorns Gordon's helmet with bunny ears, whileGordon wonders, How did I get here?

The last member of this crew passed away in 2018, so this is one of the few ways to obtain a complete set of genuine signatures at a reasonable price.

Signed by the entire Apollo XII crew.

Right Stuff Field Geologists

Right Stuff Field Geologists

by Alan Bean
35 in. W x 30 in. H (framed)
29 in. W x 24 in. H (print only)

One of our favorites, because of the movement and tone expressed. Apollo 17's Gene Cernan hands back a sample bag to geologist Jack Schmitt while rushing to check out a new discovery.

Co-signed by moonwalkers Cernanand Schmitt.

Feelin

Feelin' Fine

by Alan Bean
17 in. W x 23 in. H (framed)
15 in. W x 21.5 in. H (giclee only)

FEELIN' FINE is one of the artist's favorite works. This work conveys a certain attitude on the part of this astronaut, not easy to do in a faceless spacesuit. This is a confident moonwalker.
