Spacefest 2009 Media Information

Those with Spacefest media badges are admitted free and have carte-blanche to the entire conference. If you wish to partake of food and drink at the catered events, you must contact us at least 2 days prior. Media wishing to attend be advised that Friday Feb. 20 daytime will be very busy and any astronaut interviews are discouraged, as many astronauts may have long lines at their tables. Our speakers and staff will be accessible however.

Friday evening, however, a special media-friendly reception for our celebrity guests is planned at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, at 6:30PM, where the Apollo 9 crew will reunite with their capsule "Gumdrop" on occasion of their 40th anniversary of their flight. Only authorized (badged) media will be admitted.

Also, celebrities and some astronauts (two moonwalkers) will be playing in the Moonwalker Invitational on Thursday the 19th and will arrive the 18th and may be available for interviews or stand-ups then.

Arrangements can be made with astronauts or speakers for interviews off-site, but they may require compensation.
